Roka Akor Restaurant
Roka Akor is an exclusive restaurant located in Scottsdale that specializes in sushi and robata grilled meats. They were lost in a sea of sushi restaurants and needed some help refining their brand to cut through the clutter. Fervor started by eliminating cliche images of sushi on a plate and used a more unconventional approach of texture and typography to capture attention. The long history and tradition of robata grilling in Japan was a natural tie in to traditional watercolor textures and patterns used in vibrant colors. We also focused on making sure visitors knew about the grilled foods in order to create separation in the marketplace while also opening up their market to clientele that may not like sushi and are unaware of the robata grill.
